Exploring the Archaeological Museum of Pella from a mathematical point of view
The students of grade 4 visited the Archaeological Museum of Pella in order to explore the mathematical elements of its findings. Using their prior math knowledge they tried to find out and get insight in the remains and the math data used by the ancient Greeks when building their houses and constructing the objects of their daily life.
Simultaneously to know better the Greek mythology and important facts of Greek History.
Ancient Greek Mathematicians and Modern Mathematics
The 4th grade pupils are becoming familiar with the life and work of the Greek Mathematicians of the Ancient Times. They are giving prominence to their contribution to the evolution of the scientific thinking and Modern Mathematics. They are solving simple arithmetic and geometry problems.
